Motherboard : Trinity
Hack : RGH
Kernel Version : 16197 15574 14719 and possibly others
Dashlaunch Version : 3.04 and 3.03 know not working other versions also had fault
Loaded dashlaunch plugins : xbdm, ftpdll0.4, fakeanim0.6
Loaded FSD3 plugins : FreestylePlugin
Nature of the bug : Game wont load with dash launch is installed to flash crashes with blank screen after kinect intro.
What you were doing when the bug occured : Trying to run the game "Once Upon a Monster" from dvd, harddisk, from fsd or original metro dash.
Other notes that might help : Un installing dashlaunch from flash and rebooting console allows game to operate as normal.
Exiting to system settings via mini blade causes console to lockup with blank miniblade after game is crashed.
using option to skip kinect health intro also causes same fault but does not display kenetc intro.
Unloading dash launch plugins or removing default boot to FSD3 Failed to fix problem.
Loading dash launch to memory without install to flash game will boot as per normal.
Installing dashlaunch to flash and not rebooting alows game to boot as normal but after reboot fails to gun game again.

Try disabling all the plugins, then re-enabling them one by one and see if you still get the same errors, cOz said it might be an error with one of the plugins causing the problem... or well it most likely is...

He mentioned that XBDM might be the culprit, so i would start with it ;)

yes its usually XDBM that causes these lockups it did it with me for nfs the run and fallout new vegas. removing xdbm from plugins and restarting console fixed the problems for me.

Yip that sorted the problem thanks it was the xbdm plugin causing problems.

Using the remove flash launch from memory does not unload the plugins so i have worked out it is all fine now thanks for the help :-)

cOz replied to me earlier today, sorry i didn't post it yet, been a bit busy...

anyways, he's having difficulties reproducing your error since you seem to be talking about 3 bugs in 1 bugreport

Some of your information don't make any sense, you can't have login screen before boot animation... it's just not possible unless of course you use fakeanim with a pre-recorded login screen, but that doesn't really make it a bug ;)

What he suggests you do is to disable live stuff using parental controls, if this still doesn't solve the problem let me know, i would also like to see your launch.ini (pasted to pastebin or something)

I told cOz you updated the info, and linked to the thread pretty much same day as you posted last, i haven't seen a reply from it yet, maybe he missed it? i don't know...

I've been a bit busy myself to with my own tools, i'll try to get hold of him and see if he have anything to add or so, check back every now and then, when we have a solution or more questions we'll post it here ;)

naxil, turn ON family settings in metro (you will need to set a passkey, and don't forget to exit this setting menu by using the save button in family control or settings will be lost), set all parental controls to maximum so they don't prevent you from playing anything, and disable access to LIVE in parental control settings. This should hopefully stop the problem.

No way to solve that problem? i have another info.
I haven't the problem IF:
If i start the XBOX directly to NXE (without the hd usb connected, auto xex loading not found the default.xex (fs3) declared on launch.ini, and go directly to nxe.FI

i haven't the problem.. if i connect another HD usb (one hd with launch.ini and the other one just with emulator..)

Have this error occured in previous versions of dashlaunch? : i don't know
Nature of the bug : error code 4 on XBLIG game
What you were doing when the bug occured : nothing
Other notes that might help :
Game launch fine, but after the "choose save storage screen" the game crash with "code 4" error screen.
(i think it's due to a "user rank request" )

Would be great to know if this occurs with ALL Indie games or just some, if some... which ones?
Title: Re: DashLaunch Bug Report
Post by: _n3o_ on 08 March 2013 à 09:30:33
i have only tested 3 indie games

Arcadecraft --> code 4 (juste after the "choose save storage screen" )
Lumi --> OK
Blocks that matter --> OK

------------- EDIT -------------

It was a bug in the french version of the game, it's now fixed by the autors.

Not really a bug but could dash launch be made so that a button press on boot will reset the video mode to SD resolution?

I have a 720p only tv and when I switch to another tv and the mode changes to 1080p and then I come back to my other tv I get no picture and I have to take it to another force the mode to 720p and bring it back to my original TV.

if you have a retail console and you hold a button on the controller on boot it reboots the console  reverts the video mode but as dash launch takes control here I believe it messes with this feature.

unless I'm doing something wrong and someone has another solution ?
