* Mupen64-360 v0.993 Beta2 *
****************************

http://www.libxenon.org/

Description
===========

Mupen64-360 is a Nintendo64 emulator for the Xbox 360, it's powered by libxenon and it's a port of Wii64 (which itself was a port of Mupen64).

Usage
=====

Unzip on USB sick, then run from Xell.

Many ROM formats are supported, zipped ROMs also work.

In the browser, the Back button changes the current drive, A selects, B goes to parent dir.
Ingame, Back toggles Framerate limiting, and the Guide button quits to the browser.

Other controls are described in the emulator itself.

The browser background image is loaded from /mupen64-360/bg.png on the USB stick, other backgrounds are provided.

Options
=======

- Controls (l->r):
Changes the way N64 directional controls are mapped to the 360 gamepad, from left to right.
EG: Stick / D-Pad / C-buttons means N64 stick will be mapped on the 360 left stick, N64 D-pad on 360 D-pad, and N64 C-buttons on 360 right D-pad.

- Textures:
Changes the texture enhancement filter, depending on games, some filters will look better than others.
Be aware than the highest settings can slowdown games a lot, or even crash them in some rare cases.

- CPU core:
Controls the speed/compatibility ratio, from fully featured dynarec to interpreter mode.
'No linking' and 'No VM' are new dynarec modes that can make some games work, while still running at playable speed.

- Framerate limiting:
When enabled, games won't go faster than they would on a real N64. Can be toggled ingame with the Back button.

History
=======

v0.993 BETA2:
- Fixes mount issues with USB devices (which caused nothing to work) My Bad! //Swizzy

v0.993 BETA: Recompilation with some ZLX and Libxenon fixes
   - Supports Corona Video Output
   - Better USB Drive/HDD Compatibility

v0.992 Beta: Almost a complete rewrite, notable changes:

- Moved to Mupen64 Plus core.
- Moved to Rice video plugin.
- Dynarec overhaul.
- Faster and way more compatible.
- More control over the speed/compatibility ratio (see 'CPU core' option)
- More texture enhancement filters.
- Basic controls remapping.
- GUI improvements.
- Built with recent libxenon/ZLX (more supported filesystems, less bugs, ...)
- /!\ Use the Guide button to quit a game, Back toggles framerate limiting now.

v0.96 Beta: First binary release

Hi, I have the following problem with this emulator.

I copied the files on my usb-flash drive and started the xbox in xell. After a while the mupen64 started but only shows the following screen:

In the left side is written "stdnull:/" and when I hit the "back" button nothing happens. The rom files are in the root of the usb flash drive located and I already tried four different usb flash drives.

Anyone knows what's wrong?

First of all I'd like to thank you for compiling Mupen with the new changes :) thank you.
But I still cant get games to save, I was hoping the new usb fixes would have sorted it but it's the same as the last build :(

Do you know a way to get the saves working correctly?

Are you using BETA or BETA2? (BETA2 has a fix for an error mounting USB devices)

This has been a long recurring problem for me, I'm using a WD 500gb external HD, so far Iv'e tried Mario 64 and LOZ OOT.
Do you know if Gligli is going to continue to work on Mupen64? maybe if he could just add Save State support.?

Thank you :)

Bit of an update. Just tested on my Slim Trinity instead of my Xenon Phat, now some games are saving... Mario 64, LOZOOT but Banjo Kazooie still doesn't save. haven't tested others yet. but at least it's something. Why do games save on slim but not on Phat??

Wait for an updated XeLL that supports Hitachi slim drives or replace the DVD drive...

This is a known XeLL bug that is limited to Hitachi drives, i don't have the hardware to try and fix this issue right now and have no intention to remote debug it by sending new builds to other people to test for me, i am trying to get someone to send me a Hitachi 0500 or 0502 drive so i can fix it...

Nobody is actually working on this emulator anymore, infact... most parts of the Xbox 360 Scene are dead...

So the mupen64-360 wont be updated?... finaly it supports corona, but it has some issues..

-pokemon stadium 2 i have some graphical glitches (some options are not visible...),
-mario party does load but in 10seconds there is only black screen.
-snowboard kids runs perfect, but i am unable to save the game
-ssb runs great :)

i noticed that if i change pokemon stadium from .z64 to .v64 or .n64 the game does not lag at all but grphic issues persist..

is there anything i can try to make it work?
was reading and searching a lot and hae not found anything.. :( on pc i read that changing graphic plugin can resolve the issue, but i do not know if this can be possible on the xbox version.

oh i am on latest dashboard if it is important.

I'm not going to work on this anymore, and i don't think that Gligli will etheir...

I don't know what you can try, i mainly just compiled it with my updated framework (libxenon) to make it work with Corona, for those wanting it...

The dashboard makes zero difference, with these emulators (started from xell) everything is in the elf itself :) the difference might be how you loaded it, some stuff works better when launched from actual xell instead of launched from dashlaunch...
